About the Business
The Chair and Sofa Company is a family-run business, specialising in re-upholstery, chair and sofa restoration and made-to-measure furniture. You will like our friendly, personal, reliable and hassle-free service. Darrell Beasley is a highly skilled craftsman with over 30 years of upholstery and furniture repair experience. He has a great talent for bringing weary furniture back to life. As a young man, Darrell studied both traditional and modern upholstery techniques at High Wycombe College. He began his career at his father's large furniture and upholstery company in Reading - developing skills and building knowledge of all aspects of the business - and then went to set up the company's re-upholstery division in Birmingham.
He then started his own business, converting the cloth interiors of new Jaguars, Porsches and Mercedes to leather, and restoring vintage car trimmings. Beverley Beasley is Darrell's wife and business partner; she manages all of the office-based aspects of the business.
