About the Business
The business progressed into selling carpets and floor coverings and as its reputation for quality and service grew so too did Stokers as they extended into fine furniture. In 1950 with the business expanding Stokers acquired the former girls' school in Derby Street. It is from this beautiful old building Stokers continue to sell quality fine furnishings to this day.
As one of the oldest furniture retail businesses in the Northwest you really can feel at home with Stokers, it has always been family run and is currently in the care of the fourth generation. Stokers' proud heritage ensures a commitment to continuing a quality service offering expert advice and exceptional choice of truly fine furniture.
Today Stokers' extended family includes ten stores with three trading under the Stokers name. With large purpose built showrooms in Southport and Chester, Stokers are the destination of choice when looking for quality fine furnishings for your home.
